Clearspace and scale
Logo clear space (also known as the “exclusion zone”) is designed to create a clear area around the logo.
The examples below show the relevant exclusion area for the primary logotype, as well as the icon when used independently of the logotype.
As illustrated, the minimum clear space is defined by the size of the inner space of the Olive “O”. Use the safety area zone between the logo and other graphic elements, such as type, images and other logos to ensure it retains a strong presence wherever it appears.
Where possible, allow even more space around the logos.

Exceptions
Minimum scale
The logo should not be reproduced smaller than the specified minimum size because doing so compromises its readability.
Just as the logo shouldn’t be smaller than the minimum size, it also should not
be proportionately too large for its intended usage.
As a general rule, scale and proportion should be determined by the available space, aesthetics, function and visibility.

Color
The Olive logo should work across all media. The logo colorway you choose will depend on the context in which the logo appears, (or based on print requirements).
On white or light backgrounds, the preferred colorway is Olive Purple. On dark backgrounds, the logo can be reversed to white. In some instances, a more subtle color relationship may be desired, so it is also acceptable to use an Olive Purple logo over a background that is Olive Dark Purple.
The Olive logo also works very well when reduced to black or in white, reversed out of a background.

Placement
The location of the logo in layouts is important for recognition — especially when seen multiple times across various touchpoints. The identity system gives guidance for general logo placement.
Generally, logo placement priority is as follows: lower left, upper left, upper right, lower right.
Relative size
The Olive logo should not appear inappropriately large on any layout, surface or display. It should be proportionate to the other elements surrounding it. A general guideline is the width of the logo should not exceed 30 percent of the total width of a layout.
Paired with type
In limited situations such as directional signage, the Olive logo can be paired with type. Text x-height should match the x-height of the logo.
Social icons
App icons follow the clearspace guidelines and are designed based on platform specifications.
